Hi I’m Colin. I’ve been working for Warburtons for 9 years. I started out in distribution as a Driver Operations Manager for 6 years. After several projects and widening my horizons, I diversified into commercial as a Customer Business Manager. This means building effective customer relationships with key contacts in Trading, Marketing, Store and Supply functions, ensuring achievement of Joint Business Plans, awareness of Customer Policy and any key commercial decisions.

It’s a family business, you can tell this from the second you walk into work. We pull together as a team through the good and any challenging times. Here, no two days are the same. Primarily, the customer team sell products into our customers but our role involves much more. We have to ensure the relationship is maintained at all levels from any possible late deliveries to marketing strategy. Effective communication is key so you may find me on the phone... A lot!

I was one of the people responsible for growing Aldi from regional distribution to over 1 million units a week nationally. Did I also mention that I got to meet the Queen on her visit to the Bakery?
