An apprenticeship is a job with training, which allows individuals to earn while they learn, whilst gaining nationally recognised qualifications. Most of the training is delivered in the workplace, with an element of 'off the job' training which usually takes place with a training provider or at a college.If your son or daughter lives in England, is over 16 and not in full-time education he or she can apply.
The current National Minimum Wage rate for apprentices is £5.28 per hour, but we pay more than this. Salaries vary for different apprenticeships, but our starting salary is typically £19,000 per annum, depending on the role, which will rise as the apprentice progresses.
If your son or daughter lives in England, is over 16 and not in full-time education they can apply for an apprenticeship. There are different entry requirements depending on the type of apprenticeship they wish to pursue. Apprentices need to be committed, motivated, enthusiastic and reliable, with a 'can-do' attitude. We'll also look for apprentices who share our values of Quality, Care, Responsibility and Family.
Apprenticeships last for a minimum of one year, however many can take longer, especially if they are at a higher level or in certain sectors such as Engineering. The duration of the apprenticeship will be made clear at the beginning of the application process.
