I joined our Bolton bakery in 2004, straight out of school as an engineering apprentice and after went on to work as a shift maintenance engineer. Bolton bakery went through some exciting changes with the installation of a brand new plant and equipment and during this time I completed several secondments at different sites. I was part of the Engineering team covering Warburton’s first sheet & cut line and then worked on the introduction of a new SAP PM maintenance management system. In 2012 I began the role of Process Technician, providing support for the bakery PLC and control systems. In 2016 I moved over to our Centre offices, working within the Central Engineering function supporting our asset care across our national bakery network and in 2018 I began my current role as a Project Engineer.
I’ve gained a lot of experiences and been given some great opportunities and Warburtons have continued to support my ongoing development throughout.
I’m always getting in trouble for forgetting to bring bread home from our staff shop but when I do remember, I’ll always pick up a packet of our delicious crumpets!
