Right at the heart of the UK, Wednesbury is one of our most established and important sites. What started as a depot in 1996 has grown into a fully operational bakery with two bread plants—now producing around 1.8 million units every week across a range of our most loved products.
It’s a site built on resilience. After a fire in 2004 forced a temporary closure, the team came back stronger, rebuilding Wednesbury into the high-performing operation it is today. And that pride still runs through everything they do.
With around 370 colleagues, many with decades of service, experience and knowledge run deep here. From bakery to distribution, where a further 1.2 million units are delivered weekly, alongside significant intercompany volume - this is a fast-paced, collaborative environment where everyone plays a part.
Strong safety performance, continued investment (including major upgrades and solar energy initiatives), and a culture that values both people and progress mean Wednesbury isn’t standing still. It’s a site with real history and an even stronger future.
