We’re looking for a Hygiene Team Manager to join our Bristol Bakery, working Monday to Friday. You’ll lead and develop our Hygiene team, set high standards across the bakery and work alongside our Bakery Manager and wider site leadership team to continually improve the way we work.

The Recipe

You’ll take ownership of hygiene standards and performance across the bakery, creating an environment where your team understands not just what great looks like, but why it matters.

Leading from the front, you’ll coach, motivate and develop your team to deliver consistently high standards of hygiene, food safety and compliance.

You’ll work closely with colleagues across Operations, Engineering and Food Safety to identify opportunities, solve problems and make improvements that have a real impact on bakery performance.

The Method

• Leading, engaging and developing the Hygiene team to deliver consistently high standards
• Coordinating hygiene schedules and labour to meet production requirements and food safety standards
• Driving continuous improvement across hygiene practices, processes and performance
• Ensuring compliance with food safety legislation, microbiological standards and site hygiene requirements
• Working closely with the Operation Shift Managers and Food Safety teams to implement and maintain effective food safety and hygiene systems
• Identifying potential hygiene and food safety risks and ensuring appropriate preventative actions are taken
• Managing labour, maintenance and stock budgets effectively, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency without compromising quality or standards
• Supporting our sustainability ambitions by reducing unnecessary water usage and ensuring accurate monitoring and reporting
• Building strong relationships across the bakery and influencing others to make hygiene everyone's responsibility

Essential Ingredients

You’ll bring:

• Experience leading or supervising a team within a food manufacturing or similarly regulated environment
• A proven track record of maintaining and improving high standards of hygiene
• A good understanding of food safety, hygiene standards and manufacturing best practice
• Working knowledge of CIP (Clean-in-Place) systems and BRC requirements
• Experience managing costs, labour or budgets
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage, coach and develop others
• Confidence working with and influencing colleagues and stakeholders across different functions
